Another year has come and gone, quickly as ever. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season, and that you’re looking forward to 2020 as much as I am!
I'd hoped to create some new Christmas designs this year, but these pretty blue baubles haven't quite made it out of my sketchbook yet. I'm planning to turn them into a pattern soon :)
However, I did find the time to do some Christmas baking, including this delicious cashew nut roast with herb stuffing from a recipe by Rose Elliot. It's an old favourite of mine, so yummy!
Christmas day began with a morning cup of T2's gorgeous Christmas Breakfast tea. My sisters then came over for a roast lunch, pudding, presents, and card games that took us through until quite late. It was a really lovely day.
Since then, Tim and I have been relaxing and enjoying our break between Christmas and New Year. It's been very hot here in Melbourne, so it was a good opportunity to indulge in some light holiday reading. One of my gifts was a Christmas-themed crime short story collection - I do love a spot of (fictional) murder!
I'm posting this on New Year's Eve, so I hope you have a safe and happy start to 2020. Talk to you again next year :)
